    Hi Emily,
Thanks for creating these schedule cards. I've done something similar in the past with post it notes, but having the symbols on the left to break up similar subjects is very helpful. Sizing the cards to indicate lesson length is great too.

Where would poetry and memory work fall?

    Plutarch is under Citizenship, correct?

Fabulous interview – and what a total dream job!

And I love the cards, I can't wait to finish my review of this past school year so I can start planning the next. These will definitely be a key piece to figuring it all out. Thanks!

    Hi Stephanie,

We are so glad you are finding the schedule cards helpful! There is so much to consider when creating a schedule for all the short lessons, we were hoping this tool would help ease that job.

As to your questions, memory work was done as "recitation" in CM's method, and specific types of recitation were done at different levels (see our Subjects by Form page for those details). On the days poetry isn't done in recitation, it can be part of the literature lesson, or read at another time during the day. CM believed that poetry should be heard/read daily, and since it is delightful, can be incorporated around the breakfast table, before bed, etc.

You are correct, Plutarch is *part* of Citizenship. For the other parts, see also the Subjects by Form page and Episode 29 on Citizenship.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Emily
